What the hotel says it is for
Entertaining, in the hotel's words: planning on doing a little entertaining during your stay? For a hiking group that translates into one room where four or five people can sit down at the end of the day without perching on beds. Spread the maps on the table, plan tomorrow's route, argue about whether Ha Ling is worth the 810 metres.
What it does not say: the bed size in the bedroom, the view, or how many people may sleep in it. I would not plan beds for a group around this suite until the hotel confirms the layout.
Why you cannot just book it online
Both this suite and the Family Suite carry a call-for-availability note. That is where a desk is useful: our request goes to the hotel by phone or email instead of through the website, and you get an answer in writing. If it is not free on your dates, the desk will come back with the closest alternative, usually a Jetted Tub Suite with its own living room.
Pair it with
If you are bringing a group, the Goodstoney Room on the second floor seats eight for a boardroom-style meeting with food served to the room, per the resort. Details on meetings and weddings.
