Privacy

We collect only what you send us. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels on this site.

What we collect

  • From the room form: name, email, phone if you give it, number of guests, dates, room preference, notes, the type of trip and the page you sent it from.
  • From email: your address and whatever you write.
  • Server logs at our host and at Cloudflare, which record IP addresses and requests for security and delivery.

Why

To answer your room request: to check availability and rates with the hotel or a booking partner and reply to you. When you ask the desk to go ahead, the details needed for the booking are passed to the hotel or that partner. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for marketing.

Who processes it

  • Hosting: DigitalOcean, on a server in Toronto, Canada.
  • Delivery and security: Cloudflare, which serves the site.
  • Email: Cloudflare Email Routing forwards hello@ to the editor's mailbox.
  • The hotel or booking partner, only for a request you ask us to pursue.

Maps

On the home page, the Google map loads only when you press the button, so Google receives nothing from simply viewing the page. On the getting-here page the map is embedded and loads as you scroll to it; when it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own policy. Links that open Google Maps send you to Google.

How long

Room requests and related email are kept for up to twelve months after the last message, then deleted, unless a booking or a complaint needs them longer.

Your rights

Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA, gives you the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it and to complain. Write to hello@kananaskisgatewayhotel.com. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Alberta has its own commissioner, the OIPC of Alberta, for organisations covered by Alberta law.

Changes

If anything here changes, for example if analytics are ever added, this page will say so with the date before it happens.

Last checked against the linked sources: 31 October 2026.

Ask our desk to find you a room

Dates, people, room type: the desk checks the hotel's availability and rate, or a booking partner's, and answers by email.

  • No card asked for. A request is not a booking.
  • Reply by email, usually with the hotel's own rate and any better partner rate.
  • If a stay is confirmed, the hotel or booking partner pays us a commission. You pay us nothing. How that works.

Not the hotel's booking line: the resort's own site is stoneynakodaresort.com.

We answer in English, by email.

Thank you. The desk has your request and will reply by email. Nothing is booked yet.
