Responsible gambling: where to get help in Alberta
This guide is about a hotel that has a casino in it. It does not promote gambling. If gambling has stopped being a choice for you or someone close to you, these are the official places to start.
- Age
- 18+ for casino areas in Alberta. AGLC's casino licensee terms define a minor as a person under 18.
- 24-hour help
- Alberta Health Services Addiction and Mental Health Help Line: 811 or toll-free 1-866-332-2322. Confidential, 24/7, includes problem gambling.
- GameSense Info Line
- 1-833-447-7523. Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday to Saturday 1 to 8 p.m.
- Self-exclusion
- AGLC's Self-Exclusion Program; people enrolled cannot receive prizes in a gaming facility.

Signs worth taking seriously
GameSense, AGLC's responsible gambling programme, lists these warning signs, and says the more of them a person shows, the greater the chance they have lost control:
- Lying about how much they gamble.
- Often missing work or school to gamble.
- Using gambling as an escape from pressure at home or work.
- Neglecting personal or family responsibilities to gamble.
- Believing one big win will bring gambling under control.
- Gambling for longer and longer periods.

At the resort
The guest rooms, the pool, the gym and The Ridge restaurant are not gaming areas. Sidelines lounge is the one dining space inside the casino area. If you are staying here and want to keep away from gambling, plan your meals at The Ridge.
What this site will never do
Publish game tips, promotions, loyalty offers or anything that encourages gambling. The casino appears on this site only as a fact about the building: what is there, its hours, and the age rule.
