Why the fireplace matters here
From 1 December, Highway 40 south of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park closes until 14 June, and the trails that stay open around the Bow Valley can be icy for months. Alberta Parks warns about that on Heart Creek and Troll Falls in particular. A winter day here is often snowshoes, microspikes and short outings, and the evening matters more. An electric fireplace is not a log fire, but it changes a hotel room into somewhere you want to sit.
The seasonal side of planning is on seasons and road closures.
Who it suits
A couple, or a couple with one child on the sofa bed. The hotel pitches it as a little something special, and the only difference it publishes from the King Room is the sofa bed and the fireplace. That is enough reason in winter, and probably not in July.
How to ask for it
Pick Junior Suite in the form, add Mountain or Valley View in the notes if it matters, and give your dates. The desk checks the hotel's rate and the alternatives and answers by email. Nothing is booked until you accept and the hotel confirms.

The hotel's own page for the Junior Suite: Mountain View or main version and Valley View version. Room pages were last changed by the hotel in August 2025. Back to all room types.
